A&E's John Gotti documentary features final footage of the infamous mobster

Get ready for a summer of Gotti.

John Travolta is playing John Gotti Sr. in an upcoming biopic, appropriately titled Gotti. But first, a two-part A&E documentary will bring the notorious mobster to the small screen, starting Saturday.

Gotti: Godfather & Son chronicles the story of the infamous Gambino family, from Gotti’s rise in the 1970s and ’80s to his final days at the United Stated Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri. He died at 61 in 2002, afte battling throat cancer.

The four-hour special will play out over two nights, featuring interviews from criminal defense lawyers, FBI agents, and U.S. District Court Judge Shira Scheindlin, who presided over several of Gotti’s trials. Peter Gotti and Angel Gotti are also interviewed about their father.
