Dyson’s New $40 Airwrap Diffuser Just Made It Easier to Dry and Style Curly and Coily Hair
Curly and coily tresses can now get an upgraded Dyson treatment with the newest Airwrap.
The air-powered company’s new Airwrap Complete Long Diffuse set ($600) features new attachments designed specifically for styling curly and coily hair types: a diffuser, wide-tooth comb and a large round volumizing brush. The precision-engineered diffuser features a mesh base and alternating progs, allowing hair to be dispersed evenly and mimic natural drying. The design helps to cut down on frizz while defining natural curls, coils and waves. Those who already have the Airwrap can purchase the attachments separately for $40 each.

The large round volumizing brush boasts long, fine bristles that “direct air deep into the air to deliver volume and body.” Those with longer hair will find that the accessory helps to style their tresses easier and faster and with added volume, as the brush creates tension in strands to shape and dry at the same time.

The Airwrap Complete Long Diffuse is currently available in the Nickel/Copper colorway, and it’s expected to arrive in a Prussian Blue/Rich Copper option later this year.
The latest hair device launch follows Dyson’s newly-released colors, including a new Ceramic Pop colorway — inspired by the first vacuum that the company launched in Japan 25 years ago — for the Airwrap, Supersonic hair dryer and Corrale straightener; and a Blue Blush shade that launched in August for Airwrap, Supersonic and Corrale. The brand also now offers a simplified Origin version of its signature hair dryer for $100 less.
Dyson counts celebrity hairstylists Jen Atkin (whose clients include Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and Chrissy Teigen) and Matthew Collins (who has worked with Cindy Crawford, Kristen Stewart, Bryce Dallas Howard, Kristen Bell, Mandy Moore, Camila Mendes) among its ambassadors. Rihanna-loved makeup artist Priscilla Ono has also called the Airwrap “a game changer.”
