If you’ve ever wanted to recreate that infamous scene from the 1980s primetime soap Dynasty in which enemies Krystle and Alexis come to blows in a lily pond, this is your shot. Provided you have the cash, of course.
The house that stood in as the glitzy home of the Carringtons is actually located in Pasadena, Calif., rather than the show’s setting of Denver. However, Arden Villa, the official name of the gated estate, is just as luxurious as depicted on the popular show. (Arden Villa has also had its close-up in movies such as Billy Madison and Terms of Endearment.)
Built in 1913, the exquisite three-story home features 17,586 square feet of interiors, with lavish details such as intricate crown molding. (The guest house alone is 2,430 square feet.) The property, which is on 2.95 acres, features 10 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a wine cellar and game rooms. Other than the lily pond (yep, it’s still there!), the new owners will enjoy swimming pools, a tennis court and more, all behind a gate and a tree-lined driveway to ensure privacy.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the home was last sold for $20 million in 2013 and that it went up for sale for $28 million in 2017.
