Dylan Dreyer and her family felt the love and community this Halloween.

On Wednesday, the Today co-host, 42, shared photos from her family's trick-or-treating outing in New York City on Instagram. Dressed as different Super Mario characters, the family of five enjoyed not only their own costumes but the many different Mario-universe characters they bumped into throughout their day.

While the NBC News meteorologist opted for Princess Peach, husband Brian Fichera took on Bowser. Russell (who goes by Rusty), 2, dressed as Toad, while big brothers Oliver George (who goes by Ollie), 3, and Calvin, 6, were Mario and Luigi.

"Bit of a costume change with the family," she said, referencing her earlier look as artist Pink on the morning show, "and our extended Mario family too! Happy Halloween!!!"

Speaking with PEOPLE earlier this summer, Dreyer — who first opened up about her 6-year-old's celiac disease diagnosis in an interview with PEOPLE in May — shared an update that thanks to a gluten-free diet, oldest Calvin “has no more pains, no more headaches, no more stomach aches. He’s just like a regular kid.”

She added that her son is able to enjoy the “delicious food” she makes for him, though she noted that it can be a “pain” to prepare special celiac-friendly meals.

“I packed and made so much food for my mother-in-law to take with her so that he could spend the week up at his grandparents' house,” Dreyer explained. “Different dinners and lunches and breakfast just because it's a pain. But it's a pain for me, it's not a pain for him. He has no idea what I do to make his life totally normal, so he doesn't know any different.”
