Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union Take a ‘Quick Overnight Family Trip’ with Their Daughter Kaavia

The family, who lives in Los Angeles, traveled to Santa Barbara for “for a little fun and a lot of love”

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union know how to pack a lot of fun into a short amount of time!

The former NBA player, 42, shared a post to Instagram on Saturday, April 27, featuring highlights from a recent trip he took to Santa Barbara, Calif., with his wife, 51, and their youngest daughter Kaavia James 5.

"A quick overnight family trip to Santa Barbara for a little fun and a lot of love ❤️,” Wade captioned the carousel of photos and videos, featuring Kaavia playing on a bouncy apparatus, Union posing during a dinner date and the family gathering around a fire to make s’mores.

“It’s s’mores time before date night,” the businessman, whose family now lives together in Los Angeles after moving away from Florida, said in one video in which Kaavia directed her parents where to sit and Union wore a black dress and a long black leather coat with a red lip.

“Who does s’mores with this view?" someone off-camera asked Kaavia before answering the question in a sing-song voice: “The Wades.”

Another cute video featured Union directing an impromptu photo shoot for a couple who was sitting at a table next to them at a restaurant, telling them to “change your body language” from behind the camera as she snapped their photo and Wade filmed her.

Wade still appeared to be enjoying a getaway on Sunday, April 28 per his Instagram Stories.

“Y’all go ahead and be brave, I'm cool,” he said in a video taken outdoors while he was surrounded by trees talking about how he doesn't mess with birds.

Wade's post about Santa Barbara came on the same day he posted a photo dump to Instagram that he captioned “Life’N as of Late…” featuring photos of Kaavia, Union and his older daughter Zaya Wade before her prom.
