Dwyane Tyrone Wade Jr is a former Professional basketball player who was born on January 17, 1982. The majority of his career which lasted for sixteen years was spent playing for Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association (MBA). The athlete managed to make a name for himself in the sports world with several successes. Wade was born into a family of two children in Chicago, Illinois, although his mother, JoLinda already had two children before marrying his father. When Wade was four months old, his mom and dad divorced each other.

After the divorce, a court granted Wade's mother, JoLinda custody of him and his sister, and they made their way to her mother's house. Here, there was little or nothing to keep the family going and JoLinda ended up using drugs and alcohol. Finally, when he was 8 years old, Wade's sister took him to his dad's house claiming that they were going to see a movie. After his father relocated to Robbins, Illinois, Wade's life began to experience significant changes.

Wade knew that he had to get a better life and while he was tempted to do drugs and join gangs, the athlete turned to basketball and football as his saving grace. In a new environment, he was able to connect better with his father and step-siblings and as time went on, he started growing up to be like his idol, Michael Jordan.

Wade graduated from Harold L. Richards High School in Chicago and proceeded to Marquette University, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wade was known throughout the MBA as an athlete who could easily turn difficult lay-ups with bigger defenders.

In 2019, Wade decided to retire from basketball and focus on his family. He was formerly married to his Highschool sweetheart, Siohvaughn Funches in 2002, but five years later, he filed for divorce. In 2009, Wade hooked up with popular actress, Gabrielle Union and in August 204, the duo walked down the aisle. Although Wade is a proud father of four children, he shares only one child with Union, known as Kaaiva James.

The 1-year-old who was conceived via surrogate is the apple of her father's eye and he does not hesitate to share this with the world.

Recently, the retired MBA player took to his Instagram page to share a lovely photo of him and Kaaiva celebrating thanksgiving in a grand style. He captioned the post with;

"There is this girl who stole my heart and she calls me daaDa."

Kaaiva may not understand this yet, but when she grows up, she will appreciate how sweet her father is to her.

Aside from being a great father, Wade is also an excellent partner who does not fail to support his wife when she is doing the right thing. Recently, the athlete commended his wife, Union for sticking to her values, when it came to being a judge of America's Got Talent. She also received the support of other notable stars on social media.
