'DWTS' Sean Spicer Selling His Neon Green Ruffle Dancing Shirt For Charity

“Dancing With the Stars” contestant Sean Spicer is auctioning off his now-famous neon green ruffle shirt, with the money going to a good cause.

The former White House press secretary has listed the shirt he wore during his salsa performance. Spicer performed to Spice Girls “Spice Up Your Life” in the routine. The outfit caused a bit of controversy online.

Spicer is running the auction on Charity Auctions Today. The description reads, “Sean Spicer made headlines for his premiere on Dancing with the Stars on Monday September 16, mostly due to his shocking neon green ruffle shirt."

"Any proceeds from auctioning the infamous neon green puffy shirt from the Dancing w the Stars premiere off will be split between, The Independence Fund and The Yellow Ribbon Fund. Sean is on the board of both organizations that both help serve severely wounded veterans when they return from war.

Sean has as his guests two wounded veterans and their caregivers to every live Dancing with the Stars episode he participates in as representatives for the Yellow Ribbon Fund. This summer, Sean worked with the Independence Fund to team up with Florida Georgia Line to present catastrophically wounded veterans with life changing all terrain wheelchairs.”

Yellow Ribbon supports caregivers for injured service members. The Independence Fund provides wheelchairs to injured service members.

The auction already has 16 bids with bidding up to $3,100. Spicer made sure to include the shirt was designed “by acclaimed costume designer Steven Lee.”

He included the fabrics of the ruffle dancing shirt as “LIME NEON WITH GOLD TEXTURE LYCRA”, “LIME NEON MESH for SLEEVES “ and “LIME NEON ORGANZA FOR RUFFLES ON SLEEVES, CUFFS AND CENTER FRONT RUFFLE”

Spicer spoke to Fox about putting the shirt up for auction. He said, "Someone might want a great Halloween costume. Halloween is just around the corner. You might be a huge 'Dancing with the Stars' memorabilia collector."

We're guessing Tom Bergeron won't be placing a bid.
