“DWTS” partners Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater say 'we are not dating' after caught holding hands

Things between Mauricio Umasnky and his Dancing With the Stars partner Emma Slater have apparently been heating up off the dance floor as well.
The pair were caught holding hands in Beverly Hills away from the studio lights of the reality competition, leading to speculation that they were romantically involved. After photos of the two went public, they took to Instagram to deny any funny business.
"We do want to address this story, this whole thing that's going out and about, about whether Emma and I are dating, about whether we went out on a date," Umansky said in a joint Instagram story video with Slater. "For full clarity, we are not dating."

Umansky said that he and Slater had gone out to dinner after having a "very emotional week." On DWTS, the teams had to choreograph a dance based on their "Most Memorable Year." For Umasky that was 1996 when he had just married his estranged wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards.
He, Richards, their two kids were sharing "a two-bedroom condo" when Umansky was fired from his job — suddenly he found himself unable to provide for his new family. "It was an extraordinarily emotional moment in my life," the real estate mogul said.
Richards eventually encouraged Umansky to go into real estate and they "rose up" back on their feet. He and Slater then did a sultry number to Andra Day's "Rise Up," garnering their best scores of the competition so far, though they still remain in the middle of the pack.
Richards was recently on an episode of Watch What Happens Live when host Andy Cohen asked for her reaction seeing the photos.
"I was taken aback," she said. "That was very hard to see. It hurt my feelings. I don't know if anything has happened yet, but obviously there's something there and listen, I love him very much — and we are amicable — but that really did hurt me."
Umansky and Richards are currently separated, after refuting reports that they were divorcing, and say they are working on their marriage. The current season of RHOBH, which recently premiered, features the dissolution of Kyle and Mauricio's union amid rumors that Kyle was having an affair with country music star Morgan Wade — rumors Richards and Wade denied in their own joint Instagram video.
