Don't Be Afraid

It's Oct. 1, which means that Halloween season is in full swing. Coffee shops, retail stores and fans of the holiday everywhere are showing off their hauntingly true spirit.

The coffee giant Dunkin' Donuts has resurrected its Halloween menu, along with a Halloween costume contest to boot.

Caught In the Donut's Web

The donut chain made their announcement right at the top of the month, so no one can say they weren't warned.

Through October, donuts will arrive with orange, black and brown frosting and other seasonal decorations.

Among the offerings this Halloween is the "spider donut," which is basically a regular donut with orange frosting and a chocolate munchkin donut in the center that has icing eyes and chocolate drizzly legs.

And 10 donut holes, or "munchkins," are going for $2 for the whole month.

Free Donuts!

But there's more: The "Dunkin Runner" will run into random Dunkin' Donuts to hand out free donuts to 200 people.

And recognizing that people like to dress up like donuts for Halloween, Dunkin' has debuted its "Dunkin' Runner" Halloween costume at New York Fashion Week.

You can't buy it, but if you visit DD's Instagram page on Oct. 2, you could win a chance to go trick-or-treating in one of these costumes. No word on whether you have to return it.
