Dune 3 in the Works from Denis Villeneuve

Director Denis Villeneuve is going to make Dune 3.

Warner Bros. recently released a trailer for Dune: Part Two, the next installment in Villeneuve’s epic science fiction trilogy, which stars Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides and Zendaya as Chani. This sequel was greenlit when the 2021 movie Dune was successful, with Villeneuve initially planning to adapt Frank Herbert’s novel into two parts.

Will there be a Dune Part 3?

However, Deadline recently reported that Dune: Part Two would be the second movie in a planned three-film saga. Deadline’s Chief Film Critic Pete Hammond confirmed Dune 3 to World of Reel, saying, “That is what Denis says is the plan.”

It is unclear yet whether the third Dune movie will also be an adaptation of the first book or if it will be an adaptation of Messiah.

Dune: Part Two will release in theaters on November 3, 2023, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
