Dumb Money is the GameStop dramedy that features an all-star cast that includes Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Nick Offerman, Pete Davidson, Sebastian Stan, Shailene Woodley, America Ferrera, and Anthony Ramos.

After receiving strong reviews at TIFF, the movie hit a limited release beginning Sept. 15 and is set to go wide Sept. 29. The movie will soon screen throughout the global festival circuit, going to the San Sebastian International Film Festival and then the Zurich Film Festival in the weeks ahead.

His 2021 take on the classic Disney villainess with Cruella, which starred Emma Stone, won a best costume design Oscar, while 2017’s Tonya, which starred Margot Robbie, received three Academy Award nominations and won one for supporting actress for Allison Janney.

Other feature credits include The Finest Hours, Million Dollar Arm, the Fright Night remake, and Lars and the Real Girl, which starred Ryan Gosling.

While known primarily for his movies, Gillespie was the main helmer behind Hulu’s Emmy-nominated Pam & Tommy.
