Duchess Kate steps out with drastically different hairstyle for Remembrance Sunday service

Duchess Kate nearly pulled a fast one on us!

The 35-year-old royal stepped out for the Remembrance Sunday ceremony looking totally different. What did she do you might ask? Kate wore her hair in a bob.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who has kept her shiny brunette tresses in a mid-length style for as long as we can remember, looked dramatically different with her much shorter locks. She tucked her hair under a black broad-brimmed hat while polishing off her dramatic 'do with statement earrings adorned with pearls and a military-inspired Dolce & Gabbana jacket with large buttons.

However, a closer inspection of the look confirms that it appears to be a faux bob, a look that actress Blake Lively also recently rocked. We have to say though, if Kate did opt to chop her locks, she can definitely pull off the much shorter look!

Later that night, she switched up her outfit for an event at London's Royal Albert Hall in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Royal Festival of Remembrance, which the queen attended in her role as patron of the Royal British Legion.

Kate opted for a black velvet silk dress by one of her favorite designers, Catherine Walker. The flattering number featured full-length sleeves, a hemline that flared just above the knees and a vintage feel to the look thanks to the Swarovski buttons.

Just last week, Kate stepped out in a number of stylish looks including a merlot-colored dress from Goat and a black lace Diane von Furstenberg dress for a gala. The royal is currently pregnant with baby No. 3 and is due in April. For more on Duchess Kate's pregnancy, watch the video above.
