Duane 'Dog' Chapman Shared The Touching Story About A Koala That Was Saved From Wildfires
Despite the drama surrounding his rumored relationship with Moon Angell, Duane Chapman's thoughts and prayers are with the people and animals of Australia as they continue to be deviated by wildfires. The "Dog the Bounty Hunter" star reposted a Instagram post by Bindi Irwin about a koala bear that was rescued from the fires.

"We send our thoughts and prayers out to Australia," Chapman wrote.
Irwin's original post had the details of Barry, who suffered injuries from the fires but is recovering well.
"Barry is one tough koala! After being caught in the bushfires devastating Australia, he was diagnosed with pulmonary disease from smoke inhalation," Irwin wrote. "Thankfully, after some love and care from the #AustraliaZoo Wildlife Hospital team, he’s on the road to recovery and will hopefully soon be ready for release into a safe area. The post had fans feeling emotional.
"Breaks my heart. God Bless everyone helping," one wrote.
"Praying hard for rain everyday until all the fires are out. I was blessed enough to visit the Irwin’s zoo in 2008. I cannot imagine how many animals they are caring for right now," another said.
"You and your family are amazing! Thanks for everything you do! Animals are the best and I’m glad people like you are out there protecting them! Much love to you and your family!" a third replied.
"Sending love Barry from Texas and praying for you and everyone in Australia," someone else commented.
Bindi's brother Robert Irwin and mom Terri Irwin spoke with the Australian morning talk show "Sunrise" about helping to rescue animals amid the wildfires.
"We're seeing all kinds of different injuries," Robert said as he tried not to cry. "Obviously smoke inhalation and burns are happening frequently, but also animals are going into areas where they're not supposed to be to escape the horrific conditions."
"This means they're getting hit by cars and are being attacked by domestic animals, so there's a horrific knock on effect," he continued. "It's definitely an ongoing issue and we're just trying to do our best to help in any way we can. It's a pretty tough situation. We're absolutely heartbroken."
