DSO performance of Latin American composers at Beacon Park has dinner and wine option

A musical performance of Latin American composers by a Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) quintet is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The event is sponsored by the DTE Foundation and presented by the DTE Beacon Park Foundation.

As part of this performance, Lumen Detroit, the anchor restaurant at Beacon Park, will offer a special Spanish-themed dinner package with Spanish wine pairings. The menu will be available at Lumen Detroit after the performance. For dinner package reservations visit lumendetroit.com.

On the menu ($27) is a citrus fried chicken, yucca mashed potato and elote corn ribs. The wine pairing options include a selection of white or red Spanish wines at $13 a glass or $40 for the bottle. Four Spanish wines will be offered. Lumen is an anchor restaurant at Beacon Park and is known for its large outdoor patio and rooftop dining.

Throughout the summer Beacon Park puts on several free events for the community, partnering with organizations such as the DSO. The Latin Winds concert is free but registration is required.
