Drunk Disney World Guest Busted For Assaulting Police, Throwing Furniture

A Walt Disney World guest was arrested after assaulting police officers by throwing furniture from the hotel at them. Of course, the 40-year-old was intoxicated.

According to Orange Circuit Court records, Jillian Dyehouse, 40, was charged with three misdemeanors for disorderly intoxication, trespass, and resisting an officer without violence. However, the criminal charges were dropped early this month.

A Walt Disney World Guest who was visiting the Orlando, Florida property from Ohio, reportedly got intoxicated and accused Disney Cast Members of battering her.

Dyehouse “had made several false allegations of Resort staff battering her and was now heavily intoxicated. Disney security staff advised they would like deputies to assist in issuing a formal trespass and removing Jillian from the property,” the report stated, per WDWNT.

The incident occurred at a hotel on Walt Disney World property at 10:45 p.m. on September 5. Disney Security called the sheriff’s office for help, according to the arrest report.

Once police officers arrived, they led Dyehouse back to her hotel room to gather her belongings as police and security told her she had to leave the property.

“During the argument, Jillian began throwing items in the room as she packed, causing so much noise that it woke up guests in neighboring rooms, who opened their doors to see what was causing the commotion and asked to be moved to separate rooms for the night,” the report stated.

That is when the 40-year-old allegedly threw furniture from the hotel at police officers.

“Jillian got angry once again and intentionally threw a chair in the direction of deputies and Disney staff on scene,” the report said.

Dyehouse then resisted arrest as she tensed her arms and fought back, however, authorities were able to force her to the ground to handcuff her. She was taken to Orange County Jail and booked.

The Florida Department of Children and Families ended up getting involved as the 40-year-old had an underage daughter in her room with her. The child was watched by a nearby family member while Dyehouse was arrested, the report said.

“From the investigation which has been made, it is the opinion of the writer that this case is not suitable for prosecution,” the new Orange-Osceola State Attorney Andrew Bain said in an October 10 filing. “This action is taken to clear the records and to release the subject’s bond if any has been posted responsive to the above charges. If in custody, the defendant should be released.”

Disney World Hotel Evacuated

This latest incident comes months after a Walt Disney World Guest became “irate” after a ride broke down, causing a delay in experiencing the attraction. (Read more on that incident here.)

It also comes after a fight broke out at Magic Kingdom earlier this year. On July 9, 2023, multiple Guests at the Disney World theme park got into an altercation just outside of the Tomorrowland Speedway attraction. Seemingly three different Guests were involved, but it is unclear if all three Guests were part of the same party, or if they were of different families. (Get the full story here.)
