Droids Snark And Explosions Explode In New ‘Rogue One’ Trailer
It’s Black Friday and if you’re reading this, no doubt you’ve glanced at the page to distract yourself from all the money you’ve spent on Christmas gifts. Which is convenient, as Lucasfilm/Disney have swept in to remind you to save at least 20 bucks for movie tickets this December with a new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer. Trust in the force and watch it above.
There’s a lot of material in this we’ve seen in the many other Rogue One trailers, but there’s some fun new stuff as well, including some as-yet unseen moments with Alan Tudyk-portrayed droid K-S2O. The former imperial combat droid has been reprogrammed by the rebellion but as you can see, he’s retained something of a creepy Imperial bedside manner.
Rogue One hits theaters December 16. Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, it stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Tudyk, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker.
