A man has died after his car crashed under a parked semi-truck in Old Bridge, New Jersey on Thursday.

According to News 12 New Jersey, Old Bridge Police revealed that 55-year-old Allen Szucs of Kendall Park had been driving a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu when he crashed into a parked trailer in the parking lot of a Home Depot on Route 9 South. It’s been said that Szucs was pronounced dead at the scene.

ABC affiliate WABC reported that the crash happened just before 10:30 a.m. local time and that the 1999 Chevrolet Malibu vehicle was completely jammed beneath the semi-trailer in a back loading dock.

According to My Central New Jersey, police responded to an alert about the crash at around 10:21 a.m.

PEOPLE has contacted the Old Bridge Township Police Department for comment, but they did not immediately respond.

Meanwhile, according to WABC, Szucs was the only person in the vehicle he was driving. Police are investigating what led to the crash.

In a video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by News 12 New Jersey reporter Tony Caputo on Thursday, firefighters arrived at the store’s parking lot and walked through traffic cones towards the scene, which had been guarded by police cars and barrier tape.

Meanwhile, WABC also captured the scene as police and firefighters walked around the large parked truck that the 1999 Chevrolet Malibu was wedged under.

Equipment was also clamped onto the truck, appearing to hold the vehicle up as responders continued their investigation.
