Drew and Jonathan Scott Say Third Property Brother Is the ‘Brad Pitt’ of the Family: ‘He’s Better Looking’

“Darn him and his good genes!” said Drew when the duo visited 'Today with Hoda & Jenna' Wednesday

While Jonathan and Drew Scott may be the most famous members of their family, they say their older brother was blessed with better looks.

When the Property Brothers stars visited Today with Hoda & Jenna Wednesday, co-host Jenna Bush Hager wanted to know more about the duo’s “third secret brother that’s been hidden off.”

Drew quickly pointed out that J.D., who’s two years older than the twins, has appeared on their HGTV show.

Bush Hager replied that she had seen an “exposé” in PEOPLE introducing fans to J.D. and that some less devoted Property Brothers viewers might not be familiar with their sibling.

“I think you need to have J.D. on the Today Show because he has more dirt on us, and he has more fun than we do,” Drew said.

“I think it’s been a slow move for him,” Jonathan observed. “He’s eventually going to knock us off and become the single Property Brother.”

Hoda Kotb asked if there’s any tension over the fact that Jonathan and Drew are “wildly famous” and work together so closely.

“I actually think he loves that we do our thing and he does his thing,” Drew responded. “Because he’s had shows in the past too — he works in TV and he loves it. But Jonathan and I are sort of like the loud ones in the room, so he appreciates us, ‘Step over there and give me some quiet space.’”

Bush Hager remarked that she and her own twin, Barbara Bush, “always felt like if we had a younger brother, we might have eaten him.”

“I can see that!” Drew admitted. “J.D. is like the Brad Pitt of the family. He’s older but he looks younger, he’s better looking. Darn him and his good genes!”

The Scott trio have talked in the past about how tight-knit and supportive their family is.

"We've always gotten along," J.D. previously told PEOPLE of his brothers. "We're great friends."

And in an Instagram post in 2021, J.D. wrote that he was “grateful” that their parents raised them to tell each other that they loved one another on a regular basis.

“If someone really, truly matters to you, then make sure you tell them that you love them because you might not always have that opportunity,” he added, concluding, "I am a grown man who loves hard and regrets it not at all.”

J.D. lives in Las Vegas with his wife, makeup artist Annalee Belle, with whom he tied the knot in a vintage movie theater-themed celebration on Halloween 2019. Drew and Jonathan were his best men.

When Drew married wife Linda Phan in Italy the year prior, J.D. and Jonathan were his best men. And Jonathan has said he'll continue the tradition when he weds fiancee Zooey Deschanel, to whom he got engaged last summer.
