Drew Barrymore and Ring raise funds for shelters with Pet Portraits campaign

On May 13, Ring announced its collaboration with “Charlie’s Angels” star Drew Barrymore for its latest campaign. Proceeds from the Ring Pet Portraits campaign will help support animal shelters across the United States. The campaign encourages pet parents to share their furry companion’s photos and videos on social media to help raise half a million dollars for shelter animals.

With May being National Pet Month, the smart security company has teamed up with the “50 First Dates” actor to raise donations for ASPCA and other local shelters in the U.S. Moreover, the campaign will run through June 14, with every post raising a $10 donation. All one has to do is share videos and photos of their furry friends on Instagram or TikTok with the hashtag #RingPets.

The Drew Barrymore x Ring Pet Portraits campaign aims to raise up to $100,000 for ASPCA and $400,000 more for local shelters. The best part is that the campaign can be one’s pet’s road to fame. One lucky winner will be chosen to appear in an upcoming Ring commercial. Furthermore, Drew Barrymore herself will help determine the lucky winner.

The campaign isn’t limited to furry companions only. All pets are welcome to participate. ASPCA‘s President and CEO Matt Bershadker noted, “Every year, approximately 6.3 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters…it’s a great time to support your local shelter by opening your heart and home to an animal in need.”

Barrymore is a mom of seven pets herself, as per PR Newswire. She stated, “It was absolutely love at first sight for all seven of my pets that fill my home with so much joy and a little dose of chaos.” The actor is passionate about animal advocacy. Thus, Drew Barrymore and her rescue, Douglas, feature in a short film to announce the launch of the Ring campaign.
