Drew Barrymore: beloved actress, relatable talk-show host, skincare guru. We’ve long been fans of the multi-hyphenate’s beauty go-tos, and her latest recommendation might just be the most accessible one yet—get ready to add it to your purse.

In the latest edition of her Little Yellow Book—a themed roundup of can’t-miss products—Barrymore, 46, revealed the lip balm she carries everywhere: Dr. Dan’s CortiBalm. “Drew wears a lot of lipstick for work, and this brings her much relief from product overload,” the description reads. “CortiBalm is a skin staple for Drew—she throws one in every pocket!”

The 50 First Dates star’s dermatologist first recommended the lip balm, which is hypoallergenic, sensitive skin-friendly, and formulated with 1% hydrocortisone, an ingredient that reduces redness, swelling, and itchiness. (It’s also great for people with skin conditions like eczema.)

Barrymore is far from alone in her praise: CortiBalm has earned over 2,500 five-star reviews and counting on Amazon. “My lips have been dry, peeling, and cracked for as long as I can remember,” one reviewer explains. “I finally caved and asked my dermatologist what to do, and she suggested this stuff. ... My lips feel so much healthier now, and it hasn’t even been a whole week.”

“My daughter has eczema and [severely] chapped lips,” another says. “Some things work temporarily and made it a little bit better but nothing really healed it. I have used this for four days now and her lips are almost completely healed!”

The lip balm even soothes dry skin caused by acne medication. “I’m on Accutane, and this is the only lip balm I've found that actually keeps my lips moisturized,” another reviewer writes. “Prior to the first time I used it, my lips were SUPER dry, cracked, and bleeding. Within a day (even hours) after use, they were soft and moisturized, and within three, completely repaired.”

With Barrymore’s blessing (and a chorus of glowing reviews supporting it), we’re definitely planning on adding CortiBalm to our cold-weather rotation. Looking for more of the celeb's favorite skincare items? We've corralled some of her favorites below.
