Drew Barrymore Packs a Punch in Purple Go-Go Boots at WWE WrestleMania 40

Drew Barrymore stepped out in Philadelphia in vibrant purple go-go boots on Saturday. The talk show host attended WWE WrestleMania 40 over the weekend and wore the groovy footwear for the occasion.

The “50 First Dates” actress attended the WWE WrestleMania 40 to deliver the WWE Golden Title to ex-Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce and current player Lane Johnson. Barrymore also took the opportunity to promote her beauty line, Flower Beauty, coordinating her makeup with her bright purple shoes.

Barrymore’s boots featured suede uppers with a block heel and a skin-tight silhouette. Popularized in the 1960 go-go era, knee-high boots leave the wearer’s knee exposed, but cover the calves. Often worn with skirts, the style is a wise choice in fall and winter for protecting the leg from the elements while still allowing the wearer to show some leg.

Drew Barrymore’s Shoe Style

Barrymore has been known to try fun, eccentric footwear in addition to women’s fashion staples, particularly platform pumps and sandals. In October 2023, Barrymore wore a pair of Marc Jacobs Platform Kiki Boots, emulating her guest Julia Fox’s style, and in 2022, she wore a pair of black open-toe sandals from Saint Laurent‘s fall 2022 collection that featured a quilted design. In the spring of 2023, Barrymore wore a pair of black platform sandals during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Her purple suede boots are just the latest in a long line of fun, elevated footwear.
