Drew Barrymore Calls Herself an 'Overstuffed Turkey or Piñata' Full of Love

The 42-year-old actress split from husband Will Kopelman in 2016.

Drew Barrymore is so stuffed with love, she just doesn't have room for anyone else.

The 42-year-old actress covers the January issue of InStyle, and inside the magazine, opens up about her love life -- revealing that she just doesn't feel the need for a romantic relationship.

“My daughters are so fulfilling that I feel like my cup is just avalanching over," explains Barrymore, who split from husband Will Kopelman in 2016, and was reportedly dating businessman David Hutchinson over the summer. "If love took on a physical analogy form, I’d be an overstuffed turkey or piñata. So I’m not really hungry for it at this moment."

"I don’t think I would have ever known that I could be this content, this whole, without being in a romantic relationship. That would have been a surprise to my younger self," she adds.

Barrymore goes on to note, however, that she's not actually "that different from the kid in the pictures wearing giant poofy dresses."

"I just had a lot of rebellion that had to calm down," she says. "I definitely have a ferociousness. And I've always had it. I completely rebel against authority."

"I am very f**king scrappy," she insists.

Scrappy as she may be, Barrymore and Kopelman have remained on good terms since their split, and even spent Christmas together with their kids, 5-year-old Olive and 3-year-old Frankie.
