Starting now through June 14, for every pet video or picture post submitted with hashtag #RingPets on Instagram or TikTok, Ring will pledge a $10 donation, up to $100,000, to support the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and up to an additional $400,000 to local animal shelters across the U.S. in an ongoing effort to find animals loving homes.

Amazon’s home security company has partnered with Drew Barrymore, a pet mom of seven, actress and talk show host, to advocate for the campaign. Barrymore stars in a new short film to reveal the campaign, with her rescue dog and co-star Douglas. She tells the pup that he is ineligible for the competition, since he is a “nepo puppy.” Jeremy, her bearded dragon also lands a cameo, appearing distraught on camera that she too can’t participate.

“It was absolutely love at first sight for all seven of my pets that fill my home with so much joy and a little dose of chaos from time to time,” Barrymore said in a statement. “I’m honored to join Ring on this important mission, celebrate the special bonds and pride pet parents have for their animals, and help generate donations to the ASPCA and local animal shelters.”

Eligible submissions tagged with #contest and #RingPets will be entered in a contest for one pet to appear in an upcoming Ring commercial. Barrymore will help choose the winner alongside the ASPCA.
