Dressed as the Clintons, Denis Leary and James Corden Go After Trump in Song

Denis Leary joined James Corden on The Late Late Show to dress as Bill and Hillary Clinton, and sing a song to Donald Trump. The song of choice was an updated version of Leary’s “A**hole” from his 1993 comedy album “No Cure for Cancer.” Of course, the lyrics were changed to fit what’s happening in the news today, specifically the presidential election.

The song started with “Bill and Hillary” pointing out many of their own shortcomings, including Bill Clinton’s philandering, Hillary Clinton’s pandering to popular opinion, “don’t ask, don’t tell” and voting to go to war.

The duet hit its stride when Leary and Corden took turns singing about Trump, beginning with what he had said about undocumented immigrants from Mexico. They moved on to sing about the controversy surrounding what Trump had said about the possible Russian hacking scandal and what he had said about his daughter, as well as Trump University.

After singing again in unison about Trump being an a**hole, they got right back into things Trump has said and done, which made him the focus of this song. They touched on things like Trump’s refusing to show his tax returns, kicking a crying baby out during a campaign speech and wearing clothes made in China.

The song comes to a triumphant end with Leary and Corden actually spelling it out for the audience.
