Draya Michele Gives Birth to Jalen Green's Daughter: 'Forever Grateful'

The model revealed that their child was born on Mother's Day

Draya Michele and Jalen Green have welcomed their baby girl!

On Friday, May 17, the Mint Swim founder, 39, revealed that her daughter with the Houston Rockets star, 22, had been born. According to Michele, the baby arrived on Mother’s Day, May 12.

In a social media post, she revealed the significance behind her daughter’s birth date.

“In 2021, on Mother’s Day, my dad passed away. Since then, it’s been extremely hard to celebrate that day without remembering the earth shattering phone call I received that morning,” Michele captioned an Instagram carousel.

The first photo showed a room filled with floral arrangements.

She continued, “Well, this Mother’s Day was different. My daughter was safely brought into this world and I’m forever grateful for the new memories we all get to experience moving forward.”

In her second swipe, the Basketball Wives alum (whose real name is Andraya Michele Howard), shared a picture of herself holding her newborn’s foot.

She and Green have been romantically linked since August 2023. He first revealed the pregnancy with Michele during a post-game interview in March 2024.

Michele later announced they were expecting the same month via social media.

“Happy #InternationalWomensDay ! As women, we navigate through so much, often leading us to question, “What is my purpose?” For me, the magic lies in motherhood and the awe-inspiring ability to bring life into this world over the span of two decades. It’s my superpower,” she captioned a March 8 Instagram carousel of her maternity shoot.

Michele has two sons from previous relationships. Her firstborn is named Kniko and she later welcomed another son, Jru, with former NFL player Orlando Scandrick.

The Doses of Draya star and Green have mostly kept their relationship under wraps, and while they don’t post photos with each other online, they have been photographed together on different occasions.

The model has shared photos of herself courtside supporting Green as well.

She’s also documented her pregnancy via social media, sharing photos of her baby bump since her initial reveal in March.

On April 29, Michele posted pictures from her baby shower.

"Threw an intimate gathering to celebrate the anticipation of 🍒 WILD TIMES AHEAD 🍒 with being a #GirlMom,” she began in the caption.

“You know I had to be different and give an evening candle lit atmosphere, Tuscan Italian food and wine, and music varying from Frankie Beverly to Sexyy Red. Thanks to all of our friends and family who came out to celebrate. It meant the world to us,” Michele concluded.
