Dramatic end to 'Voice' Knockout Rounds has Adam Levine on an emotional roller coaster

Adam Levine was in “Misery” as the Knockout Rounds came to a close on The Voice Tuesday night. The final pairing of the evening was between 17-year-old Anthony Alexander and 18-year-old Hannah Mrozak. Both singers poured their hearts out onstage, which made life very difficult for Adam. “I do not know what I’m gonna do. I really don’t. This sucks,” Adam said to Miley Cyrus following the final performance.

Anthony was beggin’ for mercy when he sang the Shawn Mendes hit, “Mercy.” While Hannah only had one thing on her brain when she belted out Rihanna‘s “Love on the Brain.” Adam was torn between the two artists and let out “I hate my life” while trying to make a decision. He ended up going with Anthony, and when Jennifer Hudson used her final steal on Hannah, the Maroon 5 singer changed his sour tune. Adam yelled out, “I’m so happy!”

Emotional Roller Coaster

But Adam wasn’t the only one riding an emotional roller coaster — Hannah was crying tears of joy when she hugged it out with her new coach. “I’m sorry. I’m a crybaby,” Hannah said as she wiped tears from her face. Hudson assured her new team member that those emotions are exactly what she wants. “No, don’t apologize,” Hudson told her. “This is what I want you to feel. This is what I want to see, and let people see it.”
