About Linking Up With Chris Brown:

When Drake appeared in Brown's music video, fans felt like he betrayed his rumored ex, Rihanna, who also dated Chris. Revealing that he was worried about her reaction too, Drake told the podcast hosts he decided to collaborate because "that person that was in the middle of us is no longer a part of either of our lives currently." While he has no relationship with Rihanna right now, Drake added, "I have the most utmost love and respect for her." He continued by stating, "I think of her as family more than anything. I felt, I actually had kind of a moment of hesitation before because I didn't want her to ever feel disrespected by me linking up with him."

Fans Attack Drake Over Interview:

Ultimately, Drake said he has no regrets about working with Chris Brown and their feud was “silly” because “it was over a girl.” While Drake probably assumed this would clear up any backlash he faced about uniting with the singer, fans are less than impressed with his response. "'Rihanna didn't want to date me so I went and teamed up with her abuser’ is pretty f----- up and Drake is bad,” one person tweeted. "Drake linking up with Chris Brown after being curved by Rihanna gotta be the most pathetic thing," stated another. "'I was trying to date Rihanna so I didn’t work with Chris Brown. When she curved me, I took my hurt ass & worked with him bc I didn’t actually care that she was an abuse survivor & just wanted in her pants' - drake, basically," wrote a third.
