Drake pushes back Memphis concert date ... again: What we know about the rescheduled show
No one can question Drake’s status as one of the best-selling and most popular musical artists of the day. When it comes to scheduling concerts, however, the Canadian-bred, Memphis-connected pop star could improve his game.
This week, Drake once again announced that he was rescheduling a number of shows on his upcoming concert tour, including a planned March 5 date at Memphis' FedExForum. The Memphis show has been postponed and rescheduled to April 8. All original tickets will be honored for the concert.
There was no public word from Drake or concert promoters on the postponements, but ticket holders were alerted directly by email. Officials with FedExForum said the dates were moved due to Drake sustaining an ankle injury.
Drake was set to launch the tour this week in Colorado, with makeup dates for some 2023 postponements. He scratched those shows, again, just days before the concerts were set to take place. The tour will now commence in Tampa, Florida, in February.

This is not the first (or second) time Drake has messed with a scheduled Memphis concert in the past year. Two different Drake shows at FedExForum were postponed then canceled in 2023. Finally, in November, the multiplatinum rap superstar confirmed a new date at the Downtown venue for March 5, 2024.
But the concert — which will mark Drake’s first local performance in more than a decade — has been pushed back once again, moving to the new Monday, April 8, date at 8 p.m.
The upcoming tour — titled “It’s All a Blur – Big As The What?” — follows Drake’s 2023 run, which sold out some 50 shows with 21 Savage. The new leg will feature J. Cole as part of the package.
