Drake Purchases New Chain To Give To Next Toronto Sports Team To Win Championship

Drake wants to see another championship be brought back to his hometown. The 36-year-old rapper purchased a luxurious chain that will be given to the next Toronto sports team that wins a ring.

The Toronto superstar posted a video on his Instagram story on Tuesday (Oct. 10) that showed off the new chain designed by celebrity jeweler Alex Moss. The chain features the CN Tower, Toronto’s skyline, a red raptor, and a blue jay, symbolizing the city’s NBA team the Toronto Raptors, and MLB team the Toronto Blue Jays. The back of the chain features the logo of Toronto’s local NHL team, the Toronto Maple Leafs

“A project with my brother for ending it in the 6 and dropping on the 6th in the 6,” The 6 God wrote in reference to his latest album For All The Dogs, which came out on Friday (Oct. 6) and his It’s All A Blur tour, ending in Toronto this past weekend. “We call it the crown jewel @alexmoss any team that wins a chip we bring this straight to you for the whole off season.”

Sadly, Drake may have to wait a while for this to occur. The Toronto Blue Jays were eliminated from the MLB playoffs last Wednesday (Oct. 4), suffering a two-game sweep to the Minnesota Twins. The Toronto Raptors finished last year’s NBA season as the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference and didn’t make any significant roster moves that could make them competitive against the new-look Milwaukee Bucks, who recently added Damian Lillard.

Fortunately, he will more than likely be able to celebrate another No. 1 album soon. For All The Dogs is projected to top the Billboard 200 when the charts are updated next week, selling between 400,000 and 450,000 album-equivalent units.

For All The Dogs featured J. Cole, Bad Bunny, SZA, 21 Savage, Yeat, and Lil Yachty across its 23 tracks. He preceded the album with the singles “Slime You Out” and “8AM In Charlotte.” Check out For All The Dogs below.
