Drake continues to expand his empire. His OVO Sound label has officially partnered with Santa Anna Label Group.

The new agreement will allow OVO Sound to continue operating as the primary distributor for their signees’ music. Santa Anna will offer supportive services, namely A&R, production, finance, accounting, marketing, promotion, and other artist and label resources.

The ties between the two labels go back several years. The 6 God launched OVO Sound in 2012 as a subsidiary of Warner Records, where Todd Moscowitz served as co-president and CEO from 2010 to 2013. Moscowitz, currently the CEO of Sony Music Entertainment and Alamo Records, launched Santa Anna in January 2023, thus opening the door to reunite with Drizzy and his artists.

“OVO has always been about music first,” Mr. Morgan, president of OVO, said of the partnership. “Together with Drake, 40, and Oliver, we’re excited to partner with like-minded people in Todd, Lee and the Santa Anna team. We feel strongly that the combination of our teams will allow for both our current and future artists to flourish.”

Todd Moscowitz shared a similar sentiment. “After 10 years, it’s exciting to reunite with Drake, Morgan, 40, Oliver and the OVO Sound team to collaborate on new ways to support their impressive roster of artists,” he said. “Together, I look forward to working with a best-in-class management team to develop opportunities to help scale their business and take their artistry to new heights.”

OVO Sound made a major move last year when they signed their first woman artist, Naomi Sharon. Her debut album Obsidian came out in October 2023 and featured Omah Lay on the record “Push.” Check out the video below.
