Kanye West has been deservedly criticized in the wake of his disastrous Oval Office appearance. But in a new interview with LeBron James, Drake suggested that Kanye isn’t only awful when it comes to politics-he's also a plain-old bad friend.

Speaking with James and Maverick Carter on their HBO show The Shop, Drake said Kanye quizzed him about his upcoming music, without revealing that he was working on an album of his own. Drake accused Ye of then purposefully released music around the same that Drake’s album Scorpion dropped.

Drake said Kanye gave him "this whole speech of like, 'I’m in a great place, I’m making money, and I’m a father, and I want to be Quincy Jones and help you:'"

'But in order to do that you’ve got to be transparent with me, and you’ve gotta play me your music and you’ve gotta tell me when you’re dropping, and I know you don’t like to do things like that.' ...So I wake up, and all [West's release] dates are out. One by one by one. All of them around June 15.

Drake also said that he told West about his secret child and the problems he was having with the boy's mother. The suggestion was that Kanye passed the information along to Pusha T, who used it as fodder in his now-infamous diss track, "The Story of Adidon."

Drake also revealed that Kanye at one point offered him the track that became "Lift Yourself," A.K.A. the "Poopity Scoop" song. Drake wasn't pleased when the song he'd initially been offered was used as a joke. "'Lift Yourself' comes out with him just talking nonsense," said Drake. "Oh this guy’s trolling me. This was like a manipulative, like, 'I wanna break you' thing.'"

So yeah, if Drake's right it seems that Kanye's whole "love is the new money" thing isn't a sincere, if misguided, attempt to be kind and see the good in everyone-he's straight-up unkind, and all the talk of love is just an excuse to wear his MAGA hat.
