Drake fans think he dissed Rihanna on For All The Dogs. Drizzy’s latest effort dropped on Friday (Oct. 6) and, naturally, sent social media into a frenzy. Fans pointed to tracks “Fear of Heights” and “Virginia Beach” as clear shots at RiRi.

On the former’s intro, the rapper repeatedly says “anti” — which happens to be the singer’s 2016 album title. He allegedly clowns the “average sex” that they had and claims her new beau “can’t leave her” like he did.

“Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you?/ That could never be,” he begins the track. “Gyal can’t ruin me/ Better him than me, better it’s not me/ I’m anti, I’m anti/ Yeah, and the sex was average with you/ Yeah, I’m anti ’cause I had it with you/ Okay, I’m auntie like your daddy sister/ Auntie like a family picture/ And I had way badder bi**hes than you, TBH/ Yeah, that man, he still with you, he can’t leave you/ Y’all go on vacation, I bet it’s Antilles.”

Then, on “Virginia Beach” he mentions another former lover’s education. Drake mentions a woman that he could’ve “treated better” and tells her she’s acting like she has a Parson’s degree. If you’re wondering why that would be important, the Barbados songstress also has a degree from the Parsons School of Design.

“I know what you say/ You say I coulda treated you better or whatever, but/ I don’t know, I think I did alright/ Know what I’m sayin’?/ And you know how you get/ Drawin’ conclusions like you got a Parsons degree or somethin’/ I coulda treated you better, that’s crazy/ Nope.”

Social media chimed began to analyze and react to the situation. “‘Drake dissed Rihanna’ my baby she is somewhere changing diapers for the 20th time this morning… that lady does not gaf lmfao,” one X/Twitter user said. “Drake is a multimillionaire who can’t keep a woman, Rihanna just had two kids back to back. One of them got trash box and I don’t think it’s Rihanna,” another person quipped.

“Drake said Rihanna got trash that’s all I needed to know,” another account xweeted. “Rihanna is now a happily married mother of TWO and Drake is still throwing subs at her,” a separate account pointed out.

Drizzy and Rih’s proximity began rumors of romance around 2009/2010. The pair was romantically linked with each other on and off until 2018. In a 2018 interview with Vogue, the “Hard” singer spoke about receiving the MTV Vanguard Award from Drake that year. The infamous moment found Aubrey professing his love to her on stage before giving her the award — a moment she called “uncomfortable.”

“The VMAs is such a fan-focused awards show, so having that energy around me, and knowing the people who had received the award in the past, made it feel like a big deal,” she recalled. “Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast.”

She also spoke about her relationship with the rapper after a decade of “will they, won’t they.” “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is,” she said.
