Drake Debuts New Face Tattoo Featuring Arabic Slang

If Drake’s music isn’t the topic of discussion, then it is usually either his relationship woes or his tattoo decisions. The 37-year-old rapper debuted new face ink, which features Arabic slang, this past weekend.

Photographer Brent Kore posted a photo of the Toronto superstar’s new tattoo on Saturday (Nov. 18). It reads “miskeen” above his right eyebrow, which is a phrase commonly used in the Somali community within Toronto.

It stems from the Arabic word “miskin,” which means “misfortunate” or “poor.” The University of Toronto magazine added more, defining the word as “a pathetic person or situation.” Check out a photo of Drizzy’s new tattoo below.

Drake’s 2023 has been the opposite of “miskeen.” The 6 God took home five trophies at this Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards (Nov. 19), namely Top Rap Artist, Top Male Rap Artist, Top Rap Touring Artist, Top Rap Album for Her Loss with 21 Savage, and Top Rap Song for “Rich Flex.” He went into the evening as the winningest artist of all time before Taylor Swift took home 10 awards and joined him on the throne.

His prosperous 2023 also includes the success of his latest album For All The Dogs. The October LP became his 13th No. 1 album and included “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole, which became his 13th No. 1 hit and allowed him to tie Michael Jackson’s Billboard Hot 100 record.

“First Person Shooter” was also a major moment for the Dreamville rapper, marking his first time going No. 1 on the Hot 100. He and Drake linked up once again on “Evil Ways,” one of the six new records added to For All The Dogs as part of its “Scary Hours Edition” deluxe. The duo now has two more records added to their collection of collaborations that they may perform for fans when they embark on the It’s All A Blur – Big As The What? tour, starting in January 2024.
