After winning the Artist of the Decade award at the Billboard Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 23, Drake had a lavish private party at the brand new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

According to a report from E!, the 34-year-old rapper started his night at The Nice Guy Restaurant in West Hollywood before making his way to SoFi Stadium.

A source tells Variety that Drake rented the massive Los Angeles venue for the night (capacity is 70,000 and the stadium sits on 298 acres) and hosted a dinner held at the 50 yard line. Among the invited guests were his friends and family — including Drake’s son Adonis — who also appeared on stage with him earlier in the night, and, according to E!, included the likes of Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, Doja Cat, SZA and fellow Toronto native The Weeknd.

“There are huge champagne towers and several bars set up throughout the stadium,” the E! source described. “Drake also has cute album books featuring his favorite moments through his career set up around the stadium.”

Earlier at the BBMAs, with three-year-old Adonis at his side, Drake said he is “really bad at taking compliments” while accepting the award. The artist, best known for his record-breaking streak of songs, including “Toosie Slide” and “God’s Plan,” described his personal preference to “rarely celebrate anything.”

Said Drake: “I’m really self-conscious about my music, and even if I do a good job, I always wonder how I could have done it better,” Drake said. “I rarely celebrate anything. And just for anyone watching this that’s wondering how this happened, that’s really the answer: being so unsure how you’re getting it done that you just kind of keep going in the hopes of figuring out the formula.”

“But tonight, for once,” Drake continued, “I’m sure as hell we did something right.”
