Drake and 21 Savage’s November 2022 collaborative album Her Loss continues to make history. This week, they ousted Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne from the top streaming spot as it relates to joint albums.

Hov and Ye previously set the record at 2.6 billion streams, but the “Rich Flex” duo has outpaced them with Her Loss hitting 2.7 billion. It is especially impressive, as the project has been out for just one year in comparison to the 12 years Watch The Throne has been out. Of course, music consumption and streaming have changed significantly since that period when people primarily purchased CDs.

This achievement adds to the list of all that Her Loss has accomplished over the last year. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Canadian Albums chart with 404,000 album-equivalent units sold. All 16 tracks from the joint project debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, with eight of them taking over the Top 10.

Her Loss went on to be certified double Platinum by the RIAA in just under a year as of last month (Oct. 25). On Friday (Nov. 10), the Grammys announced that Drake and 21 were nominated for Best Rap Album. The duo will contend with Travis Scott’s Utopia, Killer Mike’s Michael, Nas & Hit-Boy’s King’s Disease III, and Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains at the 2024 Grammys this upcoming February.

Win or lose, The 6 God’s 2024 will be major, as he recently announced an extension of the It’s All A Blur tour called Big As The What? As the title conveys, he will be joined by his “First Person Shooter” collaborator J. Cole for a 22-date road trip that will kick off in Denver, Colo. on Jan. 18 and end in Birmingham, Ala. on Mar. 27.

The “In The Morning” duo reunited for their first collaboration in ten years on the Toronto superstar’s latest album For All The Dogs. Together, they reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, notching Cole his first-ever No. 1 and Drake’s 13th. With this tour following their recent success, there is certainly merit to them saying that when they work together it’s “as big as the Super Bowl.”
