The Canadian synth pop band and the American producer and DJ’s team up (which also features producer Tobtok) is a catchy dance track targeting party goers with a video to match.

In the Anthony Chirco-directed visuals we see an extraterrestrial crash to earth and assume the appearance of a human woman. She is picked up walking through the desert and taken to a house party where at first she stands around awkwardly then proceeds have a totally awesome time. Clearly our planet’s party culture is appealing across the galaxy.

“The term ‘galactic appeal’ popped into my head on the same day I met Pretty Sister in a studio in L.A.,” Dragonette tells Billboard. “The song (and the term) is about recognizing how extremely lucky and exciting it is to get to be alive for this blink of time on the planet. There’s nowhere else in the galaxy I’d rather be.”

“‘Galactic Appeal’ encapsulates that feeling of a perfect buzz,” adds Pretty Sister. “When you feel like you and your friends must be the coolest people in the whole universe.”

“Galactic Appeal” hits Spotify on Sept. 3 via BLK&WHT RCRDS.
