Drag Queens Rewrite Women’s History on ‘RuPaul’s All-Star Drag Race’
On this week’s RuPaul’s All-Star Drag Race, the big challenge for the contestants was a lip-sync performance with each of the drag queens emulating a historical female figure. They covered a wide range of luminaries, going as far back as the original inhabitant of the Garden of Eden, Eve, all the way up to Princess Diana. The seven contestants performed together, with each queen taking a featured solo, starting with Alaska playing a Britney Spears-inspired Eve. Other highlights included Ginger Minj riding a pony on stick as Russian ruler Catherine the Great, Alyssa Edwards as a very energetic Annie Oakley, and Katya who got down and dirty as Princess Diana.
In the end, the bottom two ended up being Ginger Minj and Katya and in a surprise strategic move, Alyssa Edwards booted Ginger Minj, even though Katya had the lowest scores from the judges.
