Dr. Wendy Osefo Hits Back at ‘Karen’ Teddi Mellencamp After Calls for Her RHOP ‘Pause’

Dr. Wendy Osefo had time today. The Real Housewives of Potomac star slammed Teddi Mellencamp, formerly of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, after she called for the professor’s firing on her podcast.

“I need her to be paused,” Teddi told her co-host, Tamra Judge, on an episode of Two Ts In A Pod. “I can’t help it. I’m really trying to get on board with Wendy. Like, by paused, I mean ‘Bye.'”

Wendy first joined RHOP in Season 5 by way of Candiace Dillard Bassett. Since then, she’s been a mainstay, giving viewers interesting stories and explosive feuds with cast mates like Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and newbie Nneka Ihim.

Once Dr. Osefo heard the news that three-season wonder Teddi had casting notes for Potomac, the political commentator responded with receipts of her own.

In the Instagram messages posted to X (formerly Twitter), Teddi messaged Wendy back in March 2023, praising the reality star for her reunion performance. She even said it should be “taught in Housewives 101.”

“Would you be able to come on Two Ts in a Pod with me and Tamra?” Teddi asked her. “We’d love to chat with you!” In another message sent in November 2023, the Beverly Hills resident asked Wendy to join her on her podcast once more. “Just bumped into your husband walking down the hall. Come on the pod today!”

Wendy captioned her post, “Got it. You @TeddiMellencamp just wanted my attention. #HiKaren.”

Whew. Teddi, who appeared on RHOBH from Season 8 through 10, shot back in her own post, questioning the scholar’s intentions behind sharing her messages.

“Got what?” she wrote. “That I wanted you on our podcast before watching this season? Notice that’s when the DMs stopped. You would think with four degrees you could come up with something more original than Karen.”
