Dr. Phil Says Kanye West’s Twitter Meltdown Was for Publicity

Dr. Phil was on The Late Late Show and had a brief conversation about mental health, or, more specifically, the mental health of one person: Kanye West. Host James Corden asked the daytime television personality, “Everybody is talking right now about Kanye West and his tweets, and as a professional, what do you think’s wrong?”

“You can’t be that wrong that many times in a row unless you’re working at it,” Dr. Phil replied. When his fellow guest Cristin Milioti asked if it was just a publicity stunt, he offered back, “Well, we’re talking about it, aren’t we? I mean, we are here talking about it.”

Dr. Phil pointed out that in this new age of technological marvel, we’re finding out new depths of celebrity insanity. “Now, you say something incredibly stupid, it just goes wall to wall,” he said. “They’re reading it in China in five seconds. It just goes all over the place. You used to be able to be stupid and get away with it.”
