Dr. Phil’s Message To Brian Laundrie: ‘Do The Right Thing And Turn Yourself In Right Now’

Gabby Petito’s body was recovered in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest on Sunday, September 19, 2021. The 22-year-old “van life” blogger’s death has been ruled a homicide. Her former fiancé Brian Laundrie, with whom she was traveling, has been named a person of interest. In late August, the couple had been camping in the area. Laundrie returned alone to his parents’ home in North Port, Florida, on September 1. He was driving Gabby’s van. Police and the FBI have concentrated their search for Laundrie, an experienced outdoorsman, in Florida campgrounds and wilderness areas since September 17, when his mother, Roberta Laundrie, reported him missing from the family home. She and Brian’s father, Chris Laundrie, insist they have no idea where their son is. “Do the right thing and turn yourself in right now,” says Dr. Phil, addressing Laundrie in the video above. “We want to know the truth,” says Gabby’s mother, Nichole Schmidt. Gabby’s stepmother Tara Petito says, “If you truly loved her, you should turn yourself in.” Her stepfather, Jim Schmidt, says, “Turn yourself in. Let us have some closure.” Watch the video above to hear what Gabby’s father says. Watch part one, “Gabby Petito’s Family Speaks Out – A Dr. Phil Exclusive,” on Tuesday.
