Xavier and his ex-wife, Melissa, say their adult sons, Jonas, 23, and Tristan, 21, grew up privileged, but now they’re spiraling out of control. They claim their sons do drugs, steal, call them names and have been violent toward Xavier, which they deny.

Melissa says she doesn’t think her boys are mature enough to survive on their own, and Xavier says he’s afraid if he throws them out of his house, they’ll end up homeless or in jail. Both admit to bailing their sons out of trouble multiple times.

“If what you’re doing is helping, please stop,” Dr. Phil tells them on Tuesday’s episode, adding, “Because what you’re doing is sabotaging here, and I need you to stop sabotaging these boys.”
