Dr. Phil ‘Analysis Of Murder’ Podcast Takes Deep Dive Into Murder Of Dee Dee Blanchard

Have you ever wondered what could possibly lead someone to murder another person?

Starting April 25, take a weekly journey inside some of America’s most notorious murders in the new true crime podcast series Analysis of Murder by Dr. Phil. In episode one, “The Killer Thorn of Gypsy Rose,” Dr. Phil takes a deep dive into the lives of Dee Dee and Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Dee Dee Blanchard, who experts determined may have had Munchausen syndrome by proxy, kept her daughter, Gypsy Rose, confined to a wheelchair, and convinced everyone that Gypsy Rose was intellectually delayed, physically disabled and chronically ill for most of her life. She also allegedly persuaded medical professionals to prescribe medications Gypsy Rose didn’t need, test her for diseases she didn’t have and perform numerous unnecessary surgeries.

At 19, Gypsy Rose says she decided that killing Dee Dee was the only way for her to escape years of abuse. How did she carry out her plan?

Analysis of Murder by Dr. Phil premieres Thursday. New episodes drop every week.
