Downpours Continue in Flood-Hit West Sydney

Evacuation orders were in place for thousands of people in west Sydney on March 21, as driving rain continued amid some of the worst flooding seen in more than 50 years.

Video here shows the swollen Nepean River in Penrith, on the western outskirts of Sydney. Storyful journalist Joseph Olbrycht-Palmer, who recorded the video, said he was on the western side of the river, across from some of the neighborhoods in which evacuation orders were in place.
