Will Downing to perform at High Point Theatre

Oct. 25—HIGH POINT — Renowned R&B singer Will Downing, aka "The Prince of Sophisticated Soul," will perform a concert Saturday evening in High Point.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. at the High Point Theatre, and tickets are still available.

With a career that spans more than 36 years and 26 albums, Downing is one of the most versatile voices of our time. His vast repertoire includes signature interpretations of such R&B classics as "I Go Crazy," "Wishing On A Star" and "I Try," along with original hits "A Million Ways," "Sorry I," and the duet with Rachelle Ferrell, "Nothing Has Ever Felt Like This."

Downing releases music through his own Sophisticated Soul record label and has sold out tour dates across the country. His latest release, "Pieces," came out in February.

Downing also hosts a weekly radio show, "The Wind Down," which is aired on his website and more than 20 stations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and Spain.
