Disney star Dove Cameron is thanking fans for helping put "Descendants" back on top after the premiere of the newest movie in the franchise.
The 23-year-old posted a screenshot of a screenshot of her television, which showed "Descendants 3" at the top of the Apple TV charts, along with the other films in the "Descendants" franchise.
"#1 movie, #1 album and #1 soundtrack on @billboard," Dove wrote, adding, "you’ve even gotten the whole film franchise back on top. we can never thank you enough."
Dove thanked her fans days after she was in the middle of controversy when a braless selfie, that she posted, drew both criticism and praise.
She answered the drama with several quotes about female empowerment, including,
"this is the age of the ascendant Feminine Principle. In such times as these, women are able to look at themselves with new concepts of value and brilliance. However you inhabit and express being Woman, embrace yourself in that way today!"
Dove also made it clear that standing up for her beliefs is what being a role model is all about.
"This is being a role model. This is exactly being a role model,” she wrote in a comment.
Along with being a part of the dominating "Descendants" cast, Dove also scored the #1 spot on as the Top Solo Female Artist on YouTube.
She beat out other heavy-hitting content creators like Ariana Grande, Billie Eillish and Sofia Carson.
Her success with millions of views can probably be attributed to the huge engagement on music videos from "Descendants 3," including "Night Falls," which racked up over 42 million views in one week.
