Three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce is looking to take home an Emmy as he will make his acting debut in an upcoming horror television series from the creator of 'American Horror Story.'

Filming for the show has begun, and Travis is bringing fans behind the scenes alongside his co-star, Niecy Nash-Betts.

Earlier this week, Niecy Nash-Betts announced she is working with the NFL star in a new show. "Guys, guess who I am working with on 'Grostequerie'?" she asked her fans.

She then pans the camera to reveal Travis standing next to her, who later reposted the video, sharing that he is "jumping into new territory with Niecy" and "steppin' into a new world with one of the legends."

It seems Travis is still getting used to how filming works as he revealed he had to film a scene multiple times, and because it was a restaurant scene, he had to eat, and eat, and eat.

In a video posted to her Instagram Stories, Niecy Nash-Betts told her fans, “OK, we’re at a restaurant and we have been filming all day. [It’s] a restaurant scene."

She then asked, "Travis Kelce, how many meatballs have you eaten today?”

The camera then panned to the NFL star, wearing a black sweater with a gold necklace and sitting in a director’s chair between takes.

“Well, I’m eating them by the half, so probably 10,” Travis replied, but more may be consumed before the end of the day as Niecy said,  “[they] still have a ways to go" before wrapping the scene.

While 10 meatballs may sound like a lot to the average person, the NFL star is used to eating a decent amount, as it was revealed that he follows a 4,000-calorie diet during football season.

In a recent interview with Kansas City magazine, the athlete's personal chef, Kumar Ferguson, revealed what Travis typically eats during the NFL season. Oatmeal with fresh fruit for breakfast and seafood Alfredo for dinner are regulars on the menu, along with steaks, as Travis is a big fan.

"His dad [Ed] is actually a grill master, so that's where I got filets in our diet," he said. Ferguson also said that the athlete enjoys a variety of other protein sources, including tangy Hawaiian heat wings and decadent deep-fried Australian lobster tails.

A few months prior, Travis's mom, Donna, told PEOPLE that he and his brother, Jason, who recently retired from the NFL, "ate a lot" growing up.

"They could sit down and eat an entire chicken in high school each — not together; each one of them could finish a chicken," she said, noting that steak, hamburgers, and "normal stuff that kids want to eat" were always on hand for easy dinners.

During Travis and Jason's college days, the family enjoyed a meal at IHOP where Donna recalled having "like 18 plates on the table."

"There's steak, there's pancakes — and they devoured it all... You have to remember that they lose pretty much 14 to 15 lbs. every time they play. So it gets kind of crazy and you have to replenish that pretty fast," she told the magazine.

Travis Kelce loves food. In fact, he and his teammate Patrick Mahomes are opening a new steakhouse.

“What I can tell you is that we're trying to open it up by around this time next year, so a 2025 grand opening,” he told PEOPLE of 1587 Prime. “I've just been so fortunate to meet such amazing people [and] to be in it with my brother Pat Mahomes.”

When speaking about the establishment's name, Travis said, “You guys can put two and two together, obviously." For those who can't, 1587 combines their jersey numbers.

According to PEOPLE, the upcoming two-story modern steakhouse will take up 10,000 square feet and will have several private dining rooms and a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen. Diners will also see an impressive meat display, along with "hyper-subtle nods" to Patrick and Travis's NFL careers.

“So we’re going to make it a place where hopefully Kansas City can call it home, and that everybody can be there and really enjoy it," Patrick said of the upcoming restaurant.
