Dorit Kemsley and PK’s Relationship Timeline

Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley have starred on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since Season 7. Currently airing is Season 13, making Dorit a long-standing diamond holder for this series. This season, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky‘s marriage is being put to the test. Now, it appears that Dorit and PK’s union is also fractured.

The Kemsleys have seen many highs and lows since joining RHOBH. Yet, they’ve always maintained their devotion for the other on-air. So, how did they end up on shaky ground? Let’s look back at Dorit and PK’s relationship history, which may help to address this very question.

2011 – “PEE KAY” and Dorit Meet in NYC

In 2011, Dorit and PK lived in NYC. Here, the couple met at a restaurant while dining out with mutual friends. Immediately smitten, PK asked Dorit out, but she turned down his invitation. In a 2015 interview with Wedding Style Magazine, Dorit explained what changed her mind.

Just before passing, Dorit’s grandmother promised that she would send Dorit her soulmate. When this memory was recalled, Dorit changed her answer to a yes, though it is unclear in which of her many accents this yes was spoken. Right after, the two went out on their first date, and “have been inseparable from that first night,” Dorit explained.

February 11, 2014 – Their Son Jagger is Born

In 2014, Dorit and PK welcomed their now 9-year-old son Jagger. This was Dorit’s first child and PK’s fourth, as he was married prior, resulting in three children.

March 7, 2015 – Dorit and PK Get Married in NYC

One year after Jagger’s birth, Dorit and PK tied the knot at Rockefeller Center’s Rainbow Room in New York City. Sharing that they both had a “penchant and fondness for the roaring 20’s,” this theme was ever-present at their nuptials, Dorit penned.

May 2015 – Dorit and PK Move From NY to CA

Newly married, Dorit and PK packed up their lives and moved to the West Coast. Goodbye, Big Apple, hello Beverly Hills.

February 23, 2016 – Their Daughter Phoenix is Born

Giving Jagger a sister, Dorit and PK welcomed their daughter Phoenix in 2016. Now aged 7, Phoenix is the spitting image of her mother, with her father’s wit in tow.

December 2016 – Dorit Joins RHOBH

Dorit joined the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in Season 7. On having his wife join such a highly watched series, Dorit stressed that “PK’s cool. He likes the thrill of it,” when speaking to Bravo’s Daily Dish in 2017.

“As far as the negative attention, he just says, ‘Oh, who cares? We are who we are. The people that know us, know us. We don’t really have anything to really worry about in that regard,” Dorit added. Foreshadowing perhaps?

August 2019 – The Pair Bought a Home in Encino, CA

After struggling to sell their first California home in Beverly Hills, Dorit and PK went on to finally purchase Dorit’s dream farmhouse in the adjacent Encino area. This is the home that they still reside in today.

October 2021 – Their Home is Robbed

At this point, things started slowly trickling south. Rumors of PK’s gambling debts are present, alongside multiple, varied lawsuits. These claims ranged from a swimwear line dispute to unpaid taxes. In short, they owed several people a lot of money.

On October 2021, PK was overseas in London. Home alone with their two young children, Dorit’s house was broken into, and the robbers held her at gunpoint. The thieves got away with almost $1 million in valuables.

November 2021 – PK Arrested for DUI

After having a glass of wine at dinner, PK was arrested for a DUI. According to a source at DailyMail, he blew a .081 during a breathalyzer test. The legal limit blood in California is .08. This source also mentioned that PK was alone at the time of the incidence, which should be noted, as Sutton Stracke just made a Season 13 claim that PK might have had an unknown woman in his vehicle.

June 2022 – Dorit Reveals Her PTSD Diagnosis

Being held at gunpoint while your babies sleep nearby is clearly a traumatic event. When Dorit explained this during Season 12, her pain felt genuine. To her co-stars, Dorit revealed that she was diagnosed with PTSD, which she was in therapy for, as she was ready to move past her horrific experience.

October 2022 – Erika’s Bad “Joke” About Dorit and PK

Ugh, this clip makes us cringe. The acting, the faces, the audacity, it’s all bad. Basically, Dorit’s friend Erika Jayne was on a Watch What Happens Live panel at BravoCon in 2022, where she was asked which Bravo couple might be the next to divorce. She chose Dorit and PK, which she is now answering for on Season 13.

December 2022 – Dorit is Robbed, Again

“Last Christmas was about 14 months after the home invasion, and I went to the bank, I took out $10,000 so I can have some money for Christmas gifts. I had my handbag in the shopping cart. When I got to the register, I realized that my handbag was gone,” Dorit explained in a recent episode.

Dorit also explained that this second robbery brought a lot of strain into her marriage with PK.

March 2023 – The Kemsley’s Hit 8-Years of Marriage

Despite their stressors, Dorit and PK have just celebrated 8 years of marriage. With both parties penning sweet asides, their love comes across as solid. Well, verbally, at least.

October 25, 2023 – Dorit Shares Marital Cracks

Dorit is finally addressing the cracks in her marriage on-air. Apparently, PK does not understand his wife’s PTSD. Likewise, PK’s long trips to the UK has Dorit feeling like she is alone in their marriage. Step it up, PK.

October 25, 2023 – Dorit and PK’s Response to Rumors

Following last week’s premiere, many people began to weigh in on the state of Dorit and PK’s marriage. Some even joked that Dorit was finally free to date Mauricio, as their chemistry has often been called out in the past. Regardless, the pair released a joint statement. While they admitted that their marriage is in a tough place, PK and Dorit denied all rumors of a split.

October 27, 2023 – Dorit and PK Go On a Date

Nothing says, “see everyone, we’re fine,” more than a staged snapped candid while out enjoying a date night. Weirdly though, this date took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel, which is where PK is rumored to be living. Regardless, we hope that they can pull it together, but either way, we’ll be tuned in, watching.
