Michael B. Jordan, one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, is back on the market just in time for yet another Hot Girl—or rather Hot Boy Summer.

But make no mistake—while he may be single, he’s not all too ready to mingle and get back in the dating pool. The “Black Panther” star said as much in a new interview on the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” podcast where he divulged that while a relationship and eventually having a family is something he desires, he’s having a hard time figuring out where that fits into his robust schedule and is consequently feeling lonely.

“There’s a loneliness that I have. The responsibility that you have is isolating and the weight is isolating,” he said. “The worst part of that is the feeling like nobody really understands. Sometimes falling into the spaces of being alone, feeling alone. I go back and forth between wanting partnership and then not knowing what’s the best partner for me.”

So who is the best partner for the “Creed” director? While we’re not certified to play matchmaker, there are undoubtedly a handful of women both in and out of Hollywood who would jump at the chance at being on his arm who may fit the criteria. (I mean, he wasn’t picked as People’s Sexiest Man Alive for no reason).

Maybe someone like Tia Mowry? She’s been in the limelight since she was a child just like MBJ and is still consistently working. She more than understands the lifestyle. Or maybe someone like Jodie Turner-Smith? The two of them together would be a feast for the eyes considering how breathtakingly beautiful she is and how handsome Jordan is. Or maybe even LaLa Anthony? North West is apparently already trying to hook them up, maybe this is the leverage they need.

While we could get caught up playing the Black Patti Stanger all day, the “Fruitvale Station” actor did tell host Shetty the ideal qualities he’s looking for in a potential partner. Jordan says he’d want someone who could “understand all of me and all that comes with me” as well as someone who understands “that balance between wanting to be available and there for that person while I’m juggling everything else.”

“I’m not looking but it would take a very special person to understand and grow with me. We’ll see what’s up,” he said.

In the meantime though, it appears Jordan has his sights set on living life and experiencing the fruits of his labor after being “zoned in” for many years of his life.

“There’s also a part of me that really hasn’t lived life yet. … I haven’t traveled for fun. I gotta start living,” Jordan said. Well lucky for him, summer is just around the corner, and there’s no better time to be outside than that. Maybe a break and some time in the sun galavanting in these streets will do him some good. Here’s to your impending Hot Boy Summer, Michael!
