Simone Joy Jones takes on the lead role previously played by Christina Applegate in 1991's 'Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead'

Get ready for more babysitter drama.

On Wednesday, the first teaser for Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead debuted, a reimagining of the 1991 film of the same name. The R-rated comedy is written by Chuck Hayward (Ted Lasso, WandaVision) and directed by Wade Allain-Marcus.

Simone Joy Jones takes on the role previously played by Christina Applegate.

The cast also includes Nicole Richie, June Squibb, Donielle Tremaine Hensley, Jermaine Fowler and Ms. Pat, plus newcomers Miles Fowler, Iantha Richardson, Gus Kenworthy and Tyriq Withers.

According to a synopsis, Jones plays Tanya Crandell, a 17 year old who "can’t wait to spend the summer living it up with her friends in Spain before heading to Howard University in the fall."

"But when her mom decides to head to a much-needed wellness retreat in Thailand, Tanya is forced to stay home with her three siblings instead. Following the unexpected death of their elderly babysitter (played by June Squibb), Tanya gets a job working for the confident and ambitious Rose (Richie)."
