Donna Kelce Gave Sherri Shepherd Parenting Advice About Raising Her Son: 'She Was So Sweet'

The comedian is mom to son Jeffrey, 19

Sherri Shepherd recently got to meet the one and only Mama Kelce — and even received some parenting advice from the famous mom.

On Monday, April 29, Shepherd revealed on The Sherri Shepherd Show that she recently met Donna Kelce and that the mom of two shared some key parenting advice with the comedian about how to raise her son.

Donna is mom to NFL alum Jason Kelce and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, while Shepherd is mom to son Jeffrey, 19, whom she shares with ex Jeff Tarpley.

"When I went somewhere, I recently met Jason and Travis Kelce’s mother Donna. I met her and I also want to say, Jason and Travis Kelce’s mama and Taylor Swift’s future mother-in-law," Shepherd joked.

"But I met Donna and she was so sweet and she was giving me advice about raising boys," Shepherd continued. "And she said, ‘Sherri, you gotta let your son go out and make mistakes, otherwise you’re going to have a grown man living in your basement.'"

Shepherd, who just told a story about how her son Jeffrey was in her house for all of his spring break, continued by saying that Donna's words have been "ringing in my ears."

"Donna, I want to thank you for the advice and I want to say this to Jeffrey," she continued. "Jeffrey, I just wanna say to you, if you’re watching Mama right now, come up from the basement. Get up out of that basement right now."

Last June, Shepherd shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram as her son Jeffrey got ready to go to his high school prom.

“'Mom why are you crying? It’s just my prom!' Watching my son put a corsage on his date’s wrist and helping her into the car… whew I think I did alright! #promnight,” the Daytime Emmy winner captioned the carousel of images and videos she posted on Instagram.

The teen wore a black suit and blue bow tie and matching blue pocket square but kept the look modern with a pair of bright white sneakers.
